A Tandoori oven is a clay pot traditionally used over a fire.

Made of terracotta, this hand thrown cooking pot can be heated to the highest temperatures, so enabling you to create the effects of a traditional Indian Tandoori oven within your own oven!

During cooking, steam condenses on the lid of the pot and in effect, bastes the food in it’s own juices throughout cooking. When cooked, the food will be moist, tender and full of flavour.

Terracotta clay is a porous material which, when soaked in water and then heated in the oven, provides a slow evaporation of steam from the pores, creating a steamy & enclosed environment. This age-old method of cooking is excellent in retaining the full flavour, taste and wholesome goodness of the contents.

Terracotta is naturally porous, which makes it ideal for storing salt or sea salt. Moisture is absorbed by the salt pig, thus keeping the salt dry and ready for use.

COOLING THE NATURAL WAY.

When soaked in water, terracotta has a natural cooling property, and really will bring down the temperature of your wine, or help to maintain the temperature of pre-chilled wine. Terracotta vessels have been used for many decades in hot climates for storing & cooling water.

In addition to our individual hexagonal wine rack 'units' , which can also be used as an ideal stand-alone wine cooler, we have introduced a range of traditional round coolers in either plain terracotta or stylish apple-green glaze - And for that extra practical touch, why not add a matching saucer to catch those precious cooling drips of condensation?
